Our Heritage

StrideOn’s legacy began in 1875, when Irving Drew, alongside a small team of skilled shoemakers, founded a workshop along the Ohio River in Portsmouth, Ohio, dedicated to crafting exceptionally fine welted shoes for women. What started as a small operation quickly grew into a respected name in quality footwear—later evolving into the Drew-Selby Companywith partner George Selby.

After years of success and innovation, the brand eventually found its permanent home in Lancaster, Ohio, following the Great Ohio River Flood of 1937, where it took over the historic Godman Shoe Factory Building.

Today, StrideOn operates from its state-of-the-art facility in Lancaster, Ohio, which serves as the hub for warehousing, distribution, and brand development.
